What is the difference between Star (Torx) and Star Plus? Standard Star (Torx) bits have a 15-degree drive angle. Star Plus (Torx Plus) has a 0-degree angle. This means that when you turn the tool, all the force goes into turning the screw rather than pushing outward against the screw head walls. It prevents the screw head from stripping and allows for much higher torque.
