- Why does this set use different drive sizes? Small bits (like T10) require the sensitivity of a 1/4″ ratchet to prevent over-tightening. Large bits (like T55) require the massive leverage of a 1/2″ breaker bar. The 96024-10 ensures you have the right drive for the right torque.
- What makes S2 steel better than Cr-V for bits? While Cr-V is great for socket bases, S2 Steel is much harder and less brittle. This means the Star “wings” of the bit are less likely to chip or round off when removing stubborn or rusted bolts.
- Are these sockets impact-rated? No. These are S2 + Cr-V hand-tool sockets. For use with pneumatic or cordless impact drivers, you should use the Hans Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) impact bit series.
