- What is the advantage of S2 steel bits? S2 steel has higher impact resistance and hardness than Cr-V. This prevents the Star points from twisting or rounding off when using a 1/2″ breaker bar.
- Is this an impact set? No. These are manual hand tools. Using them with a pneumatic impact wrench will shatter the S2 bit.
- Which set should I choose? Select the 46024-9 if you need smaller sizes (T20-T27) for general automotive work. Select the 46024-8 if you require the heavy-duty T70 size for truck or chassis maintenance.
- Are the bits replaceable? While press-fitted, the two-piece design ensures that the specific properties of the S2 steel are isolated to the bit for maximum tool life.
