• What is the difference between KGF and N in these ratings? Both measure the “pulling power.” 1045 KGF is approx. 10,248 Newtons. Therefore, the 81976 is significantly more powerful (15,720N), making it necessary for larger 6.4mm rivets.
• Why choose the 81976 over the 81974? If your work involves 6.4mm (1/4″) structural rivets or heavy-gauge stainless steel, the 81976 is required. For standard bodywork and 4.8mm rivets, the 81974 is lighter and faster for all-day use.
• Does it require special air treatment? Yes. For industrial integrity, a standard FRL (Filter-Regulator-Lubricator) unit should be used to ensure the hydraulic seals remain lubricated and the air is moisture-free.
• Are the nosepieces interchangeable? Yes. Both models come with multiple nosepieces to match the rivet diameters listed in their capacity ranges.
