Feature
4305M/A Series is built for mission-critical engine service:
- Elastomer “Anti-Drop” Insert: The defining technical feature. A precision-molded rubber insert is seated at the base of the socket. This insert grips the spark plug’s ceramic body, allowing the technician to lift the plug out of deep wells without it falling back into the combustion chamber.
- 1/2″ Drive High-Torque Foundation: While many spark plug sockets use 3/8″, the 4305M/A utilizes a 1/2″ square drive. This provides a more robust connection for seized plugs in heavy-duty or older industrial engines, allowing for greater leverage without tool flex.
- Thin-Wall Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V) Forging: Engineered to fit into narrow spark plug tubes found in modern DOHC (Double Overhead Cam) heads. The Cr-V metallurgy ensures the socket remains rigid under load while maintaining a slim outer diameter.
- 6-Point Torque-Drive Geometry: The internal hex is designed to contact the “flats” of the spark plug hex, rather than the corners. This prevents rounding of the plug and ensures a secure seat even if the plug has minor surface corrosion.
- Standard Industrial Length: The 70mm to 80mm length is calibrated to bridge the gap between the spark plug and the extension bar, ensuring the ratchet remains clear of the engine cover.
