4131GQ is a professional-grade ½” Drive Quick Release Ratchet Handle engineered for precision and efficiency in restricted workspaces. Utilizing a fine 72-tooth gear mechanism, this ratchet provides a short 5° swing arc, allowing for rapid fastener engagement in cramped engine bays and industrial machinery. The “GQ” designation identifies the Quick Release logic, which ensures sockets are mechanically locked onto the drive anvil during use and can be instantly detached with a single thumb-press. Equipped with the signature ergonomic G-Handle, it provides superior grip and comfort during high-torque manual applications.

Mechanical Logic:
- 72-Tooth Fine Gear: The internal mechanism features 72 precision-cut teeth. This creates a 5-degree engagement angle, making it the ideal tool for “tight-swing” environments where handle movement is limited.
- Quick Release (QR) Logic: A spring-loaded ball detent is controlled by a head-mounted button. This prevents sockets from accidentally dropping into engine bays while allowing for rapid, one-handed tool changes.
- Ergonomic G-Handle: The handle is designed with a contoured “G” profile, optimizing palm pressure distribution and reducing hand fatigue during repetitive high-torque tasks.
- Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V) Metallurgy: Forged from premium Cr-V steel with a high-polish mirror finish for maximum corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning.
- Directional Switch: Features a low-profile thumb lever for quick switching between clockwise (tightening) and counter-clockwise (loosening) operations.
- What is the advantage of 72 teeth? It allows you to turn a bolt in a space where the handle can only move 5 degrees. A standard 36-tooth ratchet would require twice as much space to click.
- Does the socket stay locked on? Yes. The Quick Release mechanism mechanically locks the socket until you press the button on the back of the ratchet head.
- Can this handle high torque? Yes, it is forged from Cr-V and meets international DIN/ISO standards for 1/2″ drive ratchets. However, for “breaking” extremely seized bolts, a breaker bar is always recommended.
- Is the handle oil-resistant? The G-Handle material is designed for professional workshop use and provides a non-slip grip even when hands are oily.
