What is the benefit of Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V) in an extension bar? Cr-V steel makes the 2800 Extension Bar incredibly strong but also slightly flexible, so it can handle the stress of turning tight bolts without snapping.
Will my sockets stay attached to this bar? Yes. The 2800 series features a ball-detent system. The spring-loaded ball on the end of the bar snaps into the hole inside your socket, keeping it securely attached until you pull it off.
Can I use this with an impact wrench? No. The 2800 is a chrome-finished manual tool. For use with power or impact tools, you should choose the Hans black-finish impact extension series made from Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo).
