FAQ Section
Why do I need a 100mm socket instead of just using an extension? A 100mm integrated socket like the 2024-4 is much slimmer than a standard bit-socket connected to an extension bar. This “one-piece” design allows you to reach into holes that are too small for the “shoulder” of a standard extension, and it eliminates the “wobble” that can cause you to strip the bolt head.
Is S2 steel better than the standard bit material? Yes. S2 steel is a premium alloy designed specifically for bits. It is harder than standard Chrome Vanadium and handles “torsional shock” better. This is especially important on a long 100mm tool where the bit is subjected to more twisting force.
Can I use these with a cordless impact driver? The 2024-4 is a Manual Hand Socket. While S2 steel is very strong, the long 100mm shaft is not designed for the rapid hammering action of an impact driver. For power tools, you should use the Hans 82014 impact series.
