Why use S2 steel for hex keys instead of SNCMVH? Hex keys require higher surface hardness to prevent the corners of the hex from deforming. S2 Steel is the industry gold standard for “impact-quality” bits and keys because it holds its shape under extreme pressure.
What is the benefit of the T-Handle? L-keys can be difficult to grip when applying high torque. The T-Handle provides a balanced, symmetrical grip that allows you to use your whole hand to turn, which is much safer and more efficient for larger sizes like 8mm and 10mm.
Does the ball-end have the same strength as the flat-end? No. The ball-end is designed for access and speed. For the final “tightening” or initial “loosening,” you should always switch to the Short-Arm flat hex tip on the handle to utilize the full strength of the S2 steel.
