Construction & Material Truth: The 4029 Architecture

• S2 Alloy Steel Bit Core: The bit is forged from premium S2 industrial steel, heat-treated to a precise HRC 60–62. Unlike standard Cr-V bits which can be too ductile, S2 provides the rigid “hardness truth” required for the Ribe (Polydrive) profile to prevent the splines from twisting or “rounding” when breaking torque on factory-sealed head bolts.
• Two-Piece High-Pressure Press Fit: The S2 bit is not just inserted; it is high-pressure pressed into the Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V) socket base. This mechanical lock ensures zero-play and eliminates the “wobble” that causes fastener damage in deep-reach applications.
• Dual Finish Socket Base: The 1/2″ drive base features the Hans signature finish:
  • Mirror-Polished Head: Provides superior resistance to corrosion and allows the technician to wipe away oil and grease instantly to check for part numbers or damage.
  • Satin-Finished Body with Knurling: The textured lower half provides the necessary friction for “finger-starting” or “hand-spinning” fasteners, preventing the tool from slipping in oily hands.
• Precision CNC-Machined Ribe Profile: Every lobe of the 12-point Ribe bit is CNC-machined to a zero-tolerance specification. This ensures 100% surface contact with European Polydrive fasteners, distributing torque evenly and preventing “cam-out.”
