Feature

  • Why choose a One-Piece socket over a Two-Piece? Two-piece sockets use a bit pressed into a hole. Over time, that bit can get loose or fall out. The 3016 One-Piece design is a solid hunk of steel, meaning the bit can never come loose.
  • Can I use this with my 3/8″ cordless impact driver? No. Chrome Vanadium is designed for static torque (hand tools). Using this with an impact tool can cause the tool to shatter. For impact work, please use the 83016 series (Cr-Mo).
  • What is the benefit of the 3/8″ drive for smaller hex sizes? The 3/8″ drive provides a much more stable platform than 1/4″ drive tools, allowing you to apply consistent, high-precision torque to fasteners without the tool flexing.
  • Is the size marking etched or stamped? Hans uses deep-stamp markings on the base of the 3016 to ensure size identification remains visible even after years of professional use in the shop.
