Feature
Why use a ratcheting E-Star wrench instead of a socket? In many modern cars, there isn’t enough vertical space to fit a socket and a ratchet onto an E-Star bolt. The 1115E is ultra-thin, allowing you to slide onto the bolt and use the 72-tooth gear to turn it quickly in spots where a socket simply won’t fit.
Does this wrench have a 5-degree swing arc? Yes. Because it has 72 teeth, you only need to move the handle 5 degrees to get another “click.” This is an “Absolute” lifesaver when you are working in a cramped engine bay where you can barely move your hand.
Is the ratcheting mechanism reversible? To keep the tool as slim as possible, the 1115E uses a non-switching gear. To change directions from tightening to loosening, you simply flip the wrench over. This design ensures maximum strength and a “Zero-Failure” profile.
