Feature

  • One-Piece Monoblock Design: Forged as a solid unit for maximum structural integrity. This architecture ensures 100% of the impact energy is transferred to the fastener without the vibration loss found in press-fit bit sockets.
  • Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) Steel: Specifically chosen for its superior fatigue resistance and “memory” compared to standard Cr-V. It is the mandatory metallurgy for all professional-grade impact tools.
  • Phosphate Black Finish: Features a specialized industrial coating that absorbs oil to prevent corrosion and provides a non-reflective surface suitable for heavy-duty workshop environments.
  • Pin Hole & Ring Groove: The drive end includes a safety pin hole and groove, allowing for a secure locking connection to the impact wrench anvil (essential for overhead and industrial safety).

Dual-Unit Range:

83016M: Precision Metric sizing.

83016A: Precision SAE (Fractional) sizing.

  • What is the benefit of a “One-Piece” Impact Socket? In traditional impact bit sockets, the hex bit is a separate piece pressed into a holder. Under high torque, that bit can fly out or snap at the joint. The Hans 83016 is one solid piece of steel, meaning it is significantly safer and more durable for power-tool use.
  • Can I use this with a manual ratchet? Yes, but it is optimized for impact. The Cr-Mo steel is “softer” than Cr-V to prevent shattering; for manual high-precision torque, the 3016 series (Cr-V) is the better choice.
  • Why is it black instead of chrome? Chrome plating can flake off under impact vibration, which can be dangerous. The Black Phosphate finish is an industrial standard that prevents flaking and protects the tool from rust.
  • Does it fit all impact wrenches? Yes, it fits any standard 3/8″ square drive anvil. We recommend using a retaining pin and O-ring for industrial applications.
